Is She or Isn’t She

…that is the question?

Our beautiful chicken, Jewel seems to be attempting to crow. She’s also developing some rather manly …. shall we say …. roosterly features.

I really hope that Jewel Jim is a Jewel because Jim would be illegal in our city. I guess time will tell….which comes first; the cock-a-doodle-doo or the egg?

  5. I am sorry for your family that Jewel was a Jim... but now that you gifted him to me, I call him a Jewell here on "the ranch" and his new bride, my red hen, is happy again. They find me in the mornings when I sit under the Crape Myrtle trees listening to the bees buzz and studying Scripture. They sit at my feet and preen and purr. The rest of the day they follow each other around looking for grasshoppers and other bugs, eating green grass and just praising their Creator by making the most of their environment. As we all should do. May your family and all who know you be blessed!
