It isn't as big as my first head was; only slightly larger than an apple. But perhaps this is a sign that my broccoli growing days are looking brighter.
However, this week, I enjoyed a nonedible garden harvest that has really excited me!

Lucky you enjoying some broccoli! I just started the seeds for the spring crop of broccoli so we are a long ways away from enjoying the first harvest yet. I used up the last of the frozen broccoli a while ago so we have been without for a while and will be for a time yet to come. It is one of my favorite vegetables so it is always sorely missed until it comes back in season again.
ReplyDeleteGotta love home grown broccoli! My first attempt wasn't wildly successful, but I think I might give it another go...especially since your broccoli days are looking up :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the broccoli. I got a little broccoli this week, too. But I really love the camellia. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the broccoli!! I'm jealous as we won't be eating broccoli until at least Mid May or June! :(
ReplyDeleteYour broccoli is heading in the right direcction.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful- and the broccoli is not bad, either. ;-)
ReplyDeleteYay!!! I hope your broccoli continues to produce! :)

I see some tiny (quarter size) shoots beginning to come on mine. But I have serious doubts it will be a decent year for broccoli at my place...
ReplyDeleteMy broccoli are starting to make heads, too! So exciting! And so yummy!
ReplyDeleteHooray for broccoli! It is one of my favorite veggies. Mine took forever to start producing, so you should have more on its way.
ReplyDeleteYeah! beautiful broccoli...I cannot wait for ours1
ReplyDeleteLooks yummy! I had a great big head - the only one. And I left it for a couple of days and come back and it was all yellow flowers. But it couldn't produce seeds because the frost killed it. Next time I will know better!
